HOW TO ENTER

FilmFreeway is the go-to platform for filmmakers and fans to discover and submit to film festivals, serving as the industry standard for film festival submissions. It is a beloved and trusted company in the independent film world, with a client list that includes big names such as HBO, ESPN, NBC-Universal, Lionsgate, PBS, and NPR.

If you're interested in submitting your work to The CINDYS competition, you will be directed to FilmFreeway's submission forms and payment gateway, where you'll receive instructions on how to enter. While it's common for people to submit films with very little background information, including a short synopsis (between 50-200 words) can provide judges with important context that helps them prepare for your submission. This also shows that you care about your work and have put effort and thought into it.

It's important to keep your synopsis concise and impactful, as a short and snappy synopsis is better than a full page of text. Accurately inputting the runtime for your submission is also critical, and you can enter as many submissions as you'd like, one at a time.

When uploading your submision, FilmFreeway accepts all major video formats in full quality HD up to 10 GB. To ensure playback compatibility and performance, they recommend using settings similar to their output settings, with a maximum video bitrate of 2200 Kbps, H.264, mp4 format, and audio at 128 Kbps, AAC, 2 channel stereo. The aspect ratio should be preserved, with a maximum video height of 720 pixels, and you can also link to your work on YouTube or Vimeo.

Overall, submitting your film to The CINDYS competition through FilmFreeway is a straightforward process with clear instructions to ensure your work is properly entered and presented.
